Rating Widget
The rating widget is a great way to provide validation of the quality of your product or service based on ratings from your customers. The rating widget can be in a fixed position on your website so it stays in the same place, or it can be floating so it is always visible.
Widget format
There are two different format options available:
-
Number of 5 or 10 star ratings
Display the total number of 5 or 10 star reviews.
-
Average score
Display the 5-star rating from your customers.
Floating widget
Click here to see an example of the top rating floating widget on the Customer Radar homepage.

Setting up your Rating widget
Ask your Customer Radar account manager or support support@customerradar.com to enable the Rating widget and the format for your business. (charges may apply for the use of this feature)
We'll enable the widget and send you the code that you will need to embed into your website. The widget uses either an Iframe or Javascript code - this is a single line of code that can be embedded into either the content or header/footer of any webpage.
The code provided looks something like this (example only do not use):
<script src="https://customerradarstaticwebsite.s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/score.widget.preprod.js?client=a6d1a23fd342378a80fbc59ba9"></script>
Widget setting options
There are multiple options to customise the rating widget to your branding. You can make changes after embedding the widget that will be reflected on the web page immediately - no need to involve your web developer when you make changes. The following display options are available:

Frequently asked questions
Can I have both fixed and floating widgets?
Yes, ask Customer Radar to supply the codes for both formats of embedding when switching on your widget.
Can I have both the total number of top ratings and the average score widget?
No, you can only use one type of widget at a time.
Can I have widgets for each of my locations?
Yes, Customer Radar will supply the unique codes for each of your locations. Note that the same widget settings will apply to all locations. (charges may apply for this feature)
Why is the widget saying 'The widget is not available now'?
This means the widget is switched off for your programme. Contact your Customer Radar account manager or support team to switch the widget on. (charges may apply for this feature)
Why is my NPS in the dashboard different to the average score?
NPS uses a different calculation compared to a 5 Star rating which is an average of all the ratings received. NPS calculates the percentage of promoters less the percentage of detractors which provides a different score. While NPS is useful as an internal business metric, consumers are less familiar with it.
What if I'm using a 10-star scale, why is the number of promoter comments in the dashboard different to the number of top ratings?
With a 10-star scale, using NPS, the promoters consist of people who have given feedback ratings of 9 or 10 stars. The 5 or 10-star widget only shows how many 5 or 10-star ratings you have received.
