Want your team to be notified in Slack whenever your customers give you feedback? Follow the steps below to get set up.

Setting up in Slack
- Go to your Slack account
- In the top left hand menu, click More and then click Apps
- Search for 'Email' and click Add
- This will open the Slack app directory in your browser. Here, click Add to Slack
- Choose or create the Slack channel you want to alert notifications to be sent to
- Click Add Email Integration
- Copy the email address that Slack creates

Setting up in Customer Radar
Now you will need to set up an alert using the email address Slack created.
- Login to the dashboard
- In the Admin menu, select Programmes
- Click the Feedback Programme that you would like the feedback alert to be set up for
- On the right hand side menu, select Alert Rules and then click the blue add button
- In the popup, click the blue add button and add the email address provided by Slack from the steps above. Then, add any other email addresses you would like to receive the alert email. Click here for more information on alerts.
- Select which feedback rating value should send an alert email
- Click Save
🎉 Slack is now integrated with Customer Radar!

Outcome
When your customers submit feedback the alert email will be automatically posted to the Slack channel. The alert will include the feedback comment, rating and which location it is for.
Customisation
You can customise the Email app so that it posts in Slack under the name Customer Radar and with our logo, like this:
- Go to your Slack account
- In the top left hand menu, click More and then click Apps
- Search for or click on the Email app
- Click Configuration
- This will open the app configuration page in your browser. On the page, click the Configuration tab
- At the bottom of the page, click the pencil icon next to the Customer Radar configuration
- Scroll down to the Customize Name field and type Customer Radar
- Download the Customer Radar icon here. Then, for Customize Icon click Upload an image and add our logo
- Click Save Integration
